This Privacy Policy explains how LingoDesk ("we", "us", "our") collects, uses, and shares information when you use the LingoDesk multilingual AI customer support service at lingodesk.polsia.app (the "Service"). By using the Service, you agree to the practices described below.

This policy applies to lingodesk.polsia.app, the LingoDesk chat widget on our customers' sites, and the LingoDesk admin dashboard. It does not apply to third-party sites that link to or are linked from our Service.

When you create a LingoDesk account, we collect your email address and your subscription billing email (as returned to us by Stripe Connect, our payment processor at sign-up).

Customer messages and AI replies are stored in our conversations and messages database tables so we can hand off to your team and improve future responses. Each conversation record carries a session id, customer email (when provided), detected language, and the full message transcript as JSONB.

When a visitor submits a form on our marketing pages or the interactive demo, we capture their email, company name, website, traffic source, and preferred language in our leads table so the team can follow up.

Subscription payments are processed by Stripe Connect. Through Stripe Connect we receive the cardholder name, the last 4 digits of the card used, the billing address, and current subscription status (active, past-due, canceled). We do not see or store full card numbers, CVV codes, or full expiration dates — those are handled entirely by Stripe Connect.

If you are in the European Economic Area or the UK, our legal basis for processing your data is the performance of the subscription contract you have with us, with consent as the basis where you have opted in to marketing emails. You have the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict, port, and object to processing of your personal data, and to withdraw consent at any time. Our Data Processing Addendum (DPA) is available on request.

To deliver the Service we share data with the sub-processors below. Each is bound by its own privacy and security commitments.

All data is encrypted in transit (TLS 1.2+) and at rest (Neon-managed storage). Access to production databases is restricted to a small set of named engineers, all of whom use single-sign-on with hardware-backed second factors. LingoDesk staff do not browse customer chat content except when you explicitly request support help.

LingoDesk is hosted in the United States. When we transfer personal data from the EU, UK, or other jurisdictions to our US-based processors, we rely on the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses (and the UK International Data Transfer Addendum, where applicable). A copy of the executed SCCs is available on request.

LingoDesk is a B2B service intended for business operators and is not directed at children under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 16. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us so we can delete it.

If we make a material change, we will email active subscribers at least 14 days before the change takes effect and update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Non-material changes (typos, clarifications) are reflected only in the date above.
